DIY: 2 Ingredient Face Mask

I think it is the general consensus that most wives tales are well...tales. However, once in a while they got it right. One of the easiest and most effective methods for attaining blemish-free, softer skin is a Lemon and Yogurt face mask. The best part about it? It's super cheap, super easy, and great for your skin. What's not to like about it?

What you will need:
1 Tablespoon
Container
1 Lemon (any breed is fine)
Plain Yogurt
Lemon Juicer (optional)
Bowl

Start by adding roughly 5-6 tablespoons of plain yogurt to the bowl

Juice one whole lemon. (You can add more or less depending on the sensitivity of your skin)

Mix the lemon juice and yogurt, making sure to mix in all clumps. The consistency should be a thicker liquid (if it's too watery just add a little more yogurt to balance it out)

Pour your mixture into the container and voila! Super simple, and foolproof. All you have to do is apply it on your face and then rinse it off after a few minutes! This will last you 3-4 days(refrigerated) and should be applied once or twice a day.

Enjoy!

modern vampires of the city

Let it be accepted, Ezra Koenig is a genius. Vampire Weekend's latest album is a miraculous mosaic of songs that is utterly brilliant. If y'all don't know who Ezra or VW are (which, frankly, should be illegal given how amazing they are) I highly suggest that you go and purchase all of their albums right this instant. Right. This. Instant.

grassy paths and red hats

So growing up I practically lived in this one red hat. Honestly, 7 out of 10 photos from my childhood likely have my red hat in them. And so when I saw this one I knew I had to have it. Anywho, my friend A and I took a trip to this great little area with a bunch of trees and decided to capitalize on the lighting, and.... Voila! Me, in a tree!

bradshaw

You know those days where everything just goes right? I basically had one of those yesterday. So, I went out shopping pretty much not expecting to come home with much and I end up finding the most beautiful pair of shoes ever. M A N O L O S. Yes, as in Manolo Blahnik. If any of you have watched Sex and the City, or are starting with the Carrie Diaries, you'll understand me when I say that I felt like Carrie Bradshaw. I was happy, my feet were happy, and frankly everything was perfect. Now who's to say that today may totally suck, but for the time being I'm just skating off my left over excitement.

Anyways, are any of you going to Coachella? I didn't have a chance to purchase tickets this year so I'm basically relying on your tales of festival wonders to fill the void. In the meantime, though, here are some of my current music obsessions,

snowy days

I'm in North Carolina! It is so beautiful here, I can't help but think back to Christmas time - hot chocolate, snow, fireplaces- mmm. This gave me an excuse to break out some of my winter gear and dress like the Stay Puff marshmallow man.

Stay warm,

bye bye 2012

Feeling a little bit bluesy from the end of 2012. Is it just me or does it feel like last year lasted like 6 months total?! Craziness. Honestly, I am so unbelievably excited for the new year, though. I guess this sounds kind of bad, but I'm desperately hoping some of the trends from 2012 will die. Forever. MY list? Here you go (Trend followers beware):

-baggy crop tops
-bandeaus and sheer button downs
-those itty bitty body con skirts every girl under the age of 25 seems to be wearing
-mega stilettos that make you walk like a T-Rex

Ouch. Sorry if I totally just trashed your style, but hey, fashion is built on opinions and preferences!
Anyways....I can't find any pictures that I feel accurately suit this post so I settled for a rather au naturel look this time around.
